New Week Association is a speculative organisation and fictional methodology developed with Annie Pender. The work proposes a practice of reassigning the days of the week according to felt experience rather than social convention: a Monday might be lived as a Saturday, a workday as a Sunday.
Using the language of research, wellness culture and institutional authority, the project examines how time is named, organised and internalised. The days of the week become structures that carry expectation, productivity, fatigue and emotional force.
The work asks whether these structures can be interrupted. Can a calendar be misused? Can a day be renamed? Can language alter the body’s relation to time?
