Ectoplasticity is a studio-based video performance that draws attention to a body listening and responding to its im/material surroundings. Through movement, the body enters into collaboration with matter, forms, surfaces and things, attending to their pressures, resistances and voicings.
 

The work treats the body as porous and responsive rather than fixed: shaped by air, gesture, contact and the conditions of the camera. Movement becomes a way of listening to what is present but not always visible, audible or easily named
.

First made in the studio in 2016, the work was later presented in Architectures in Air, an exhibition exploring spatial environments,

bodies and wider ecologies.
